I once had a similar problem on my Ariens lawn tractor but simply rectified it by buying a John Deere D105. I do realise though that buying a new lawn tractor may not be the best option for you!

Many people are alarmed by this problem. In most of the cases, it is not that serious. In many cases, this problem occurs right after the service. The reason is that the oil compartment of the lawn mower is filled to the brim.
